Michael Costello denies ‘Project Runway’ spin-off plan

If rumors are to be believed then we might soon see another clone of the “Project Runway”. It is the mega success of the original series and its fan following that such shows are on the rise.

The new spin off is likely to be called “Life after the Runway”, most likely to be featured on Lifetime TV network and will be hosted by none other then Michael Costello. It is expected to feature the who’s who of the industry.

Michael Costello affirmed through Twitter that it is just an internet rumor as of now, he however also said that it seems to be something nice and he would not might being a part of it. It was then that he gave hints about the clone. He insinuated something on the same lines, but it might be called “After the Runway”

Costello had earlier been on the eighth season of Project Runway, after that he had re-entered as a competitor on the All Stars season of Project Runway last year. He then finished as first runner up next to Mondo Guerra. Costello also showcased his latest ensemble at the El Paseo fashion week held at Palm Springs. The show was different as most of the lady spectators of the show turned up wearing his gowns. Such was the pomp and honor of the show that Costello got a standing ovation when he finished the show with Giovanni, his son, on the runway.

The fashion week was also much talked about, as Pia Toscano of the American Idol fame performed live at the show and that too in a custom made Costello. She had earlier told the press about her meeting with Costello at one of the fashion shoots and how she had shown her keenness in Costello’s work. So this was like icing on the cake.

Season ten of Project Runway culminated recently with the hope of promoting a whole new set of budding talents. The auditions for the same just ended at Hollywood, CA. Until the next season of the Project Runway takes its wings, the fans will have to wait to get their share of the show, its uniqueness, fashion drama, etc.

Project Runway during all these years has witnessed some clones. Even a British style Project Runway has been announced by the Pop Diva Rihanna. Another clone “fashion Star” is also being played on NBC currently and is a design competition.
